POINTE ASSESSMENT
A pointe assessment evaluates technical readiness and foot mechanics to ensure a safe, confident transition en pointe. This evaluation analyzes ankle mobility, foot alignment, arch strength, and balance to determine the ideal box shape, shank resistance, and support for your feet. Designed to prevent injury and promote proper technique, it gives you full clarity on what you need before sewing your first ribbons.

1-ON-1 POINTE SHOE FITTING
Step into your ideal match with a personalized, one-on-one fitting experience tailored to traditional students and recreational adult dancers alike. Your 30-minute appointment includes a comprehensive shoe try-on session focused entirely on your unique foot shape, strength level, and artistic goals. Explore multiple styles and brands to find the exact combination of support, box width, and line that keeps you secure and supported en pointe.
TIME: 45 Minutes
GROUP APPOINTMENTS
Going en pointe is a major milestone, and it’s even better when celebrated together!! Teachers and studio owners can bring an entire class of dancers in for a private group fitting session. Incorporating direct teacher feedback during the fitting ensures every shoe aligns with your studio’s technical requirements while giving your dancers a fun, shared experience. MEET THE FITTER
Jenn Macquarrie
Our fitter, Jenn, has specialized pointe shoe fitting training, and brings decades of experience teaching dance, along with a strong background in anatomy and injury prevention. She believes passionately in meeting dancers where they are in their pointe journey, whether they’re excited and nervous about their first pair, or they’re returning to pointe as an adult with old injuries, or they’re a pre-professional who needs better support.
Jenn’s training includes decades of high-level professional courses through Lisa Howell, an Australian-based physiotherapist who works with professional and pre-professional ballet dancers, as well as a California-based pointe shoe fitting course. Her expertise lies in helping dancers overcome structural weaknesses, excess mobility, and past injuries.
Jenn takes the time to listen, observe, and find a shoe that helps you dance safely, comfortably, and confidently. She looks at how the shoe works with your individual feet, technique, strength, and needs.

Absolutely. We specialize in fitting adult dancers at every stage of their journey— whether you are going en pointe for the first time or returning to the art after years away.

Wear convertible tights so we can easily assess your bare feet, along with form-fitting dancewear so alignment is visible. If you already wear pointe shoes or use specific toe pads and spacers, bring them with you.

A shankless pre-pointe shoe, sometimes called a demipointe shoe, Exam is an excellent tool for strengthening and stabilizing ankles before starting on pointe. It allows the dancer to get used to the shape and confinement of the toe box without rising on pointe.

NeoPointe epitomizes softness inside and out. This uniquely soft pointe shoe model has the most pliable shank ever, and a box that has been shortened to 2/3 length, allowing the shoe to offer unsurpassed comfort during roll-through from demipointe. The incredibly soft microfiber lining and new extra special padding within the box add additional comfort and minimize toe pressure. By using Miracle glue in the box and wings, the shoe adapts to the dancer’s feet, allowing consistent support in the metatarsal area yet staying flexible at the same time for a greater variety of movements. The adaptable crown and streamlined cut make this model a wonderful choice for dancers of all levels.
